We have a 2018 SPX 210 for our first boat and are loving it. We’ve got about 46 hours on her so far this season.
I am confused/concerned about fuel consumption. I know the specs say it holds 40 gallons but when reading E the most I’ve put in is 28.8 gallons. Well it happened today. Knew we were low but having too much fun wake boarding and ran it dry. Got it to the dock and borrowed a can to put 7 gallons in. Took her to my marina and added only 27 more. Is there a reserve switch I don’t know about? We’re burning about 3 gal per hour by my calculation. This isn’t shocking since we’re all learning to wake board and ski so there’s a lot of starting and stoping. Plus I’m guilty of romping on it from time to time.
When we took delivery they told us the gauge would never be 100% accurate but being up to 5-10 gal off seems to be a lot.
