there should be a breaker near the battery switch, you probably just need to reset it. Mine pops all the time it's a little sensitive and trips easily if you put too much load on it.
So when I had the same windlass issue, it was not the breaker but a fuse for the windlass located in a completely different location! The fuse was under dash at helm. I would suggest replace with a 20A fuse if blown
My windlass stopped working as well. It turned out the the up/down switch was worn out and needed to be replaced. Works as it should now after I replaced the switch.
