Can an image please be posted of the other side of the wall from the TV?

It looks like there is a mirror cabinet in the head on the other side of the wall. Isn't there access to the fasteners in that cabinet?

Thanks for the reply. There's a closet in between the spaces you describe. It does have access to the area behind the tv. However to access the space immediately behind the tv I may have to pull apart a box area that appears to have accommodated a tube tv. I was trying to avoid that.

That box area may have been used for tube televisions on earlier model year boats, but not yet eliminated after the transition to flat screen televisions.

It is probably also used for horizontal electronics, like a DVD player.

You are exactly right. Went thru the access panel, removed three screws from the horizontal surface above and the tv and dvd slid out. They are mounted in a structure secured at the bottom.
New tv and gadgets going in!
Thanks again for your responses

Glad to help!

That is a common mounting method for Sea Ray electronics.
