I have a 2001 240 Sundancer and would like to install a windlass. Has anyone done this who can offer some advice?

Expensive and nice. Find a good mechanic who is recommended. You need good 12v power, HD windlass breaker, big hole cut into deck - make sure its reinforced (between deck and ceiling), battery cables run etc. Make sure engine is always started and alternator energised before lifting anchor as it draws lots of amps.
Is there room for the unit to be inside the cabin without banging your head on it? A few things to think about.

The current anchor compartment is pretty deep but I’ve heard others adding a second hatch next to it in case there’s any tangles so it can be accessed easily.
