I have a Kohler model 5ECD generator. This weekend on the hook it stopped and displayed a error code CO 6. The owners manual informs me that the generator has its own CO detector that needs to be replace and should be replaced every 2 years. Does anyone know where to get it and if it is something I can do myself. The owners manual shows that it is installed behind the ADC controller.
We got one here a few years ago. There is a special tool you need to remove it but wasn't expensive. Manual will give you the part number. We have the 5EKD, so not sure if our part # would be the same. https://www.colburnpower.com
