I have a 2019 sea ray 230 box with Merc 200. Only have 100 hours on the boat. I was trying to change the depth gauge but couldn’t figure out what I was doing. Then there was an alarm from the dash, the boat slowed down and the power steering stopped working. The dealer said in need a new steering pump! Over $3000 to change!! I know I need new batteries as I just purchased the boat and the surveyor told me they work, but the capacity is half and recommended they should be changed. Could this be a battery issue, is the alarm related to me changing the depth guage causing to the boat cutting power? Help
