Shore Power Sedan Bridge 44

My boating buddy has a 2009 Sedan Bridge 44. He has a 50 amp shore power cord and is convinced that he needs 50 amp power. Can he reducde down to a single 30 amp cord if there is only one 30 amp power pedestal available?

You can run on a 30 amp cord but you have to manage the load. Don't run all the AC units and watch the hot water heater.
