These photos are of my Mercruiser...

These photos are of my Mercruiser 3.0 engine.  As you can see some of the connecter are very rusty. I don't know too much about these engines.  Can anyone tell me what these hoses and connnections are and if i should replace them.  Thanks for the help!

Welcome to the forum.

The two ell bend steel then rubber hoses are for power steering. They are about $150 each.

This is a good time to clean up and protect those parts.

My suggestion would be to scrape off all the rust, then lightly sand, then paint w/ Rustoleum.

Same process for all the other rust, including on the engine block.

Maintain the engine and parts to limit deterioration, failure and replacement costs.

Also, the nearby hose clamp has deteriorated and should be replaced. Use a nice marine grade part.

Inspect the other hose clamps as they are probably in similar condition.
