1994 Sundancer 440 with Westerbeke...

1994 Sundancer  440 with Westerbeke generator. 

It starts but as soon as I take my finger off the pre heat button it stops...

Any ideas

Has the remote panel switch, probably at the main panel in the salon, been toggled from OFF to RUN?

Couple of possibilities here:

Make sure you have oil pressure showing on the gauge, could just be a low oil pressure sending unit that is bad.

Check to make sure that your fire suppression system is working correctly. If your drive engines fire up and run chances are it is probably OK.

I'll try to keep the preheat button pressed for a few seconds until the buzzer stop. works in mine
