I have a 1994 Sundancer with 2-454’’s connected to 2-63 VF Hurth transmissions.  (v drives). My exhaust manifolds and risers are junk and got water in the pan.  Question is how is the engine coupled with the transmission. Is it splined with the flywheel like a auto or?? I have everything off the engine am just about ready to pull it.  Just don’t want to damage the trans or coupler.

Got the engine removed without tearing anything up. If anybody else is facing this problem let me know, I’ll try and help

Please share as much info as you would like.

Disconnect the engine bell housing from the transmission. If you disconnect the bell housing from the engine it won’t come apart because the bell housing has a plate on the bottom. The transmission is splined

Thanks for the image and the info.

That plate would be happier w/ a sanding and paint, BTW.

Various parts on my engine have received the same treatment over the years.
