I recently bought a 1989 Sundancer 340. The tri-fold hatch cover (leading into the cabin) needs to be replaced. Does anyone know who can repair or replace this? I'm in Upstate New York, and would be interested in either buying the part, or finding someone who can repair it. THANKS -- Jon Tower

I purchased a 86 Sundancer 270 last fall and refurbishing the cabin door is on my to-do list. I am a fair woodworker and have already built a new anchor pulpit and anchor hatch cover from teak. Have also totally rebuilt the main seat assembly and added some teak to that. Teak isn't cheap; about $30 per board foot, but I imagine if you took the old door to someone who does woodworking, or perhaps the local high school or college shops, they could rebuilt it. The old hardware could probably be salvaged and reused. I purchased a 6' aluminum piano hinge on Amazon for about ten or fifteen dollars and it works fine.
