Have no familiarity with the receiver you mention, but I did upgrade mine on my 2002 Sundeck. Think I went with a Pioneer, but can't recall. Really made all the difference. I do not use the Bluetooth much. Mostly just connect the phone up through the USB connection on the front of the radio and let it stream music all day while we boat. Keeps the phone charged too. As far as installation, I went the lazy route and had the local Best Buy do it. If you can afford it, makes it all easy. I think the install was less than $200 if I recall correctly. So receiver and install total was less than $300. Next step would be to upgrade speakers or at least get a sub. My wife does not like loud music so this setup works for us. It would of course be possible to invest thousands in a sound system. But when the boat is sitting in the water all summer long, do not have to really worry about it getting stolen. Good luck to you!
