I am looking at getting a new prop....

I am looking at getting a new prop. Have 2006, 185 sport with 4.3 merc. I have a 14 X 21P on it now, but I really don't need the top speed, would like to get more hole-shot, plain quicker and pull tubes and skiers. I am looking at the Mercury "spitfire" 4 blade at a 19 pitch.

Suggestions?

Go for it, that's the most popular set up here in MN and we have a lot of lakes with a lot of tubers and skiiers

I have a 21 ft with a 14.25 by 21p. I went to a four blade 14 x 20p. I am happy I did not get a 19p. 19p is not big enough. Engine would over rev if not paying attention.

I had 2010 185 Sport with the 4.3 TKS (190 hp) and ran a Michigan Wheel Vortex 14.5x19" 3 blade for years. It gave me really good results on the hole shot and pulling kids in the tube, I did not sacrifice much on the top end. It was a good combo for the boat and drivetrain.
