I have a 2011 Sea Ray with a 5L. 3 weeks ago the boat was running great then it start to sputter. I thought it was a bad gas issue so I filled the gas tank. The next day about an hour into our ride the boat sputter again so I turned around and before I made it home the motor sputter again only this time it shut off. The motor turns over but will not fire. I have a local guy who is a traveling boat mechanic. He was coming out to winterize the boat so he looked at the motor. The motor is not getting any spark. He said it must be hooked up to a computer. He told me that every boat manufacture has their own connection and he can't afford to have diagnostic equipment for each manufacture. Has anyone had this problem with the 5L Sea Ray, where it shut off and will not fire?
