Last post of the day.  Nice Sea Ray 175 has 150 hours on it.  Many of my gauges seem "off".  Fuel gauge only occasionally gets the level correct (even a stopped clock is right twice a day).  I doubt my speedometer.  And my trim indicator is not calibrated to my liking.  Any ideas?

As for the speedo, there could be some blockage in the pitot tube pickup hole on the front of the lower unit, or the tube could be kinked, giving a false reading.

Thank you, I will Google the location, unless you happen to be able to describe it. How many inches up from the bottom of the skeg on a MerCruiser Alpha One sterndrive?

Well mine is a 1989 Mercury outboard, but it’s the only hole on the leading edge of the lower unit. Maybe a few inches above the “bullet” I’d take a look, but she’s still in storage
