The boat is a 2002 220 bowrider. There are no blue plugs as on the 4 cylinder engine.I appreciate any help.Hugo

I had the same issue in 2020 on a 2002 220 bowrider. The solution was a new fuel filler line and a new and separate vent from the original mfg. No more issues.

Thanks gregk. The blue plugs are on the 4.3 4 cylinder engine and some engines come with a quick drain system. The 260 8 cylinder engine seems to be completely different and that's what I need help with.All the best.

Look at SEI as a replacement for the Merc. I replaced my Alpha 1 sterndrive on a 2002 220 bowrider with an SEI for $2200.Good luck.
