Those pumps are notoriously prone to failure. I've replaced mine twice. The second time I installed a separate float switch and pump as opposed to the all in one. One thing I have found is that hair gets all wound up along the shaft causing it to not spin. You may want to check that. I'd suggest disassembling the unit and giving it a good cleaning to ensure the float and impeller can operate freely.
