If its an EFI outboard, E free all the time, carbed, run ethanol, I've never had any problems out of my mere 200, carb. 12 years so far.

It seems as though you've confused the "E" for ethanol, when it is actually "E"lectronic fuel injection.

I have a 2000 Open Bow 185. Can I use regular unleaded fuel or do I need to use ethanol free gas? This was the question. So, no, I did not confuse the E for anything
