Yes, I have the same issue on my SDX. I filed a warrant claim which was denied. Even though the technician agreed it was a bad idea, Sea Ray say that since the engine management runs through the Simrad, they designed it to stay on whenever the battery is on. I am going to pay (disappointingly) to have this corrected - probably by adding a toggle switch for the Simrad. I hardly need my (expensive) Simrad running for hours when Anchored. Sea Ray seems to have a somewhat bizarre thought process in some of their design decisions.
