Smartcraft Alarm

When hitting wake or waves, my smart craft alarm starts sounding. Today is sounded off for +/-10 minutes until I hit another wave but no error message present. It's as if there's a loose connection that breaks and then corrects itself. I've no idea where to start to diagnose this one.. any ideas?

Welcome to the forum.

The 454 MAG MPI Horizon engines on my 2000 380DA used right angle push on connectors for the oil pressure and water temperature sensors and switches.

Many of those connections got flakey early on, so I snipped them off and replaced them w/ properly sized and properly attached crimp on ring tongue connectors. I used correctly sized washers, lock washers and nuts to retain that connector to the existing threaded sensor stud.

These modifications have worked flawlessly for well over a decade and have completely resolved that random problem.
