We've got a 97 440 Express Bridge, one of the lights in the master head is burned out, how do I remove the cover to get at the bulb? Maybe a dumb question, but I've tried twisting and gently prying, I don't want to damage the cover or the surrounding upholstery. And would all of the light fixtures come apart the same way?

The overhead interior light fixtures in my boat are retained w/ spring loaded arms, like shown below.

My fixtures are pulled away from the upholstered plywood ceiling, until the spring arms arc to the vertical orientation.

Once disengaged from the ceiling the lamp holder is released from the trim cover w/ a 1/8 turn twist, exposing the bulb.

By pulled away, (considering these are on the ceiling) you're saying to pull them down, correct? There's a bulb area and a gold ring on the outside of the light, assuming I'd be pulling down on the gold ring. Thanks for getting back to me.

Yes, pulled down from the ceiling. On mine, I pull the disc-shaped gold ring. Mine has a center flat disc of frosted glass for the light.

Once down I twist the lamp holder to disengage from the fixture. Mine has lamps w/ solid radial posts that plug into sockets.
