Hello all, I am new to this site as well as new to boat ownership. I recently purchased my first boat, a used1999 SeaRay 190 Sundeck Outboard. I love the boat the engine has been a bit troublesome. Currently I am experiencing alarm/beep sounds whenever I try to rev up the engine/ increase speed/RPMs. The engine will start up fine and run fine at lower speeds. Also, i have noticed the alarm sound will not occur if I rev the engine to high RPMs with the neutral button pressed.

Also, I am experiencing an alarm sound if i trim the engine all the way down.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. If this is not the right are to post a question like this, please let me know!

Thanks!

First, welcome to the site! And welcome to boating! Remember, it's not "if" your boats going to breat, it's "when". You should check: raw water flow and oil pressure first. Bring the engine to the rpm when the alarm sounds and check for a full volume stream of water coming out of the engine, check your oil pressure guage at the same rpm. After that, I'd call a tech.
