Does anyone have a transom mounted transducer on their boat?  If so, how did you run the connecting wire through the transom with the swim platform above it?  I have a 230 Select and I have tried the shoot through the hull transducer and that didn't work.  I would like to mount the transducer in order to get water depth info to my chart plotter/sonar.  I'm just concerned about drilling a hole through the transom.  Thanks.

I had my marina install that part including mounting the transducer in the correct location. Did not appear that difficult a job other than making sure the transducer was level to the water not the boat bottom and away from any prop turbulence. The hole through the transom is right below the swim platform well above the water line. Make sure that hole as well as all the mounting screws are caulked properly. Otherwise water can find it's way into the transom and cause significant damage.

Drill the hole as small and high as possible, caulk on both sides and use a small stainless “shield” to guide and protect the cable around the hole. I’ve had this in place for many years with no issues.
