Have a 2008 sport 195 with 5.0 alpha 1 engine. 95 hours on it. Fully maintained. Now experiencing periodic lurching as I hit about 2,500 RPM. Does this if I hit the throttle hard or ease into it.
It loses propulsion/ thrust and RPMs go up.then catches again then loses again. Like it was thrown into neutral. Confirmed prop trimmed all the way down multiple times. Reputable, certified mechanic could not reproduce issue despite three water trial rides - no insights.
has anyone had this same issue and if so what was the diagnosis and the cure?
