I have a 2020 270 SDX OB.

Has anyone had problems with the aft large sundeck hatch staying open. There is a lot of great storage back there but mine will not stay open and it s difficult to hold it open and reach for things. My dealership says that my cushion is holding water and making the lid to heavy for the struts to hold open. Sea Ray has denied a warranty claim stating it was because of customer care. There are no rips, tares or holes in the cushion. I just wanted to see if anyone else was having this problem.

There is a five year bow to stern boat warranty.

It appears that additional understanding by the owner of the cause for the failure is required.

Continue to work w/ Sea Ray so the understanding they apparently have is properly shared. If not already started, work w/ Sea Ray on this issue, not the dealership.

On my 2000 380DA the foam in the cushions will not hold water. The water that makes it to the hatch cushion area (probably under the cushion) rapidly sheds once the hatch is started to raise.
