My 2000 215XL has been running great for the last 16 years. Some typical repairs, but nothing major until last year when I replaced the steering cable. This year .after putting the boat in the water I began hearing the gear oil alarm from time to time. I've had to top off the reservoir multiple times and carry a quart on long trips. My mechanic says there's a small hose that's likely broken and he'll have to take to remove the outdrive to replace the hose. Has anyone run into this problem and how did you correct it?
