My boat is a 2002 460.  A previous owner enlarged the opening for the cockpit radio/cd player.  I have purchased a Clarion 660 to replace the Pioneer that is very broken.  The hole is about an inch too large in height, so I need to find a suitable backing material to reframe the opening.  Has anyone found a good solution?

Radio at the location shown in the image?

If so, then a panel, like is used for the instruments and for the switches could go on the exterior. A support panel could be placed on the interior, if required.

Good idea.....thanks. Are the instrument panel materials readily available?

There are many vendors that produce these parts.

This vendor has several large blank panels in-stock at a reasonable price.

I have purchased the panel and it seems to be perfect. I only need to square the corners to get a perfect fit. Many thanks!

Great news!

Glad to help.

Use care when modifying the panel, it is thin and not terribly strong, so a crack at this point would be bad.

Post images if possible, thanks.
