Sundncer 2000 310 the cabin companionway door needs repair  i can't find anything that lists all the pieces for the door.  I think i'm missing sometype of hinge but not sure.  Anyone have any ideas who I could contact to get a diagram or help with the parts.  It is hard to fix when you don't know what is missing.

In advance thanks

Does this parts manual provide the requested info?

Thanks for the help I have the parts manual but have not been able to determine whats missing. Its a 2 part door when you slide the main door to open the lower back half does not retract and the main door will run over it.

I have to push the lower door open while opening the door. It seems to close correctly. I can't figure out what s missing. I appreicte your help if you have any ideas please let me know.

On the main cover there are 2 areas where there are holes for 2 screws 1 set at the top and a second set midway at the curve. The 2 at the curve are missing. I think there must be some hindge or bracket that goes there which helps in closing.

The empty screw holes may have retained a (now missing) block, that caused the upper door to push the lower door when opening, instead of over riding the lower door.

On my 2000 380DA those two holes above the bend on the upper door retain a block slightly larger than the hole spacing.

That block pushes the perpendicular panel on the far edge of the lower door, so both doors open, instead of sliding over the lower door.

There is a flush / smooth / colored fastener in those holes. It is similar to those used on the bottom door edge, retaining the track to the bottom edge. That (missing) fastener has a large flange, visible in the cockpit when the door is closed. The fastener has internal machine threads, used to accept the screws retaining the block.

IMO, recreating the block will be easy, using plastic stock, like Starboard. FWIW mine is black.

The hard part will be locating an acceptable replacement for the missing flush / smooth internal thread fastener.

This image shows that block and fasteners on my boat (sorry for the dust...)

This seems to make perfect sense I want to thank you for the help. I'll let you know how I make out. My boat is being pulled from the water but in a week or 2 I will be able to test this out.

I'm surprised that the parts list doesn't show anything about this piece

Thanks again

YW

Those part numbers don't show in my 2000 380DA manual either.

Be aware that the door panels are made from Unobtainium, so use extreme care during handling, especially during temporary storage while removed.

Unobtanium now that's funny, LOL! The cabin door parts are available from FPmarine.com

@Robert Breit, FP Marine sells many parts, including the door trucks that are essential when those parts fail. I was unable to locate the OP's missing block or missing attachment hardware on FP Marine. Link(s) please to those parts.
