On my 2003 260 DA, my helm remote for the clarion sound system is now blank. Checked wiring at the back for corrosion and reseated. Not working. The back light still works but nothing else. I have read there is a fuse behind the stereo head unit in the MDP in the salon. Does anyone know if this is correct before I disassemble the Main Panel to get to it? Thanks.

There are many remotes for sale on eBay if that is the problem.

I have a similar issue with a clarion cmd-4a head unit. I replaced the remote CMRC1-BSS but that did not help. My guess is that there is a problem with the main head unit. For now, I am just living with the issue.

No need to remove all of panel to get to fuse... On each side of clarion unit there are covers that pry off full height about 1/2inch wide that access the mounting screws remove those to get access to main fuse.. But if you have pwr to unit that's not the problem...check back of main unit to make sure remote cable is plugged in securely then try replacing remote
