One of my wiper motors (starboard)...

One of my wiper motors (starboard) trips the breaker once in a while when it hangs up a little on the windshield frame.

Is it the motor aging, or a weak breaker?? Any opinions??

A DC motor draws maximum current when stalled, such as when a wiper blade hangs up on the windshield frame.

Try readjusting the arm so that it doesn't contact the frame.

Try swapping this breaker with another in the panel having an identical rating.

I had same issue on the port side wiper motor of our 40 DA. We changed out the motor, but, still was tripping breaker. This has me thinking breaker needs replaced?

Good to know Lana, thanks....so I guess I'll start with the "breaker swap".....maybe a good idea to have a couple xtra in the spare parts box.
