Hi

I replace my original Simrad Go5 with a new Simrad Go9. The original go5 had Searay on the boot/splash display on start up.

The New Go9 has Simrad on the start up screen.Anyone have any luck having getting the boot screen changed.

Thank You

I’m new to the Sea Ray brand so I wish I could help you in your question. I have quite a few of my own. Is the Simrad worth it? I currently have the smart Speedo and just the tach, fuel, trim etc. gauges and would like to switch to the the sumrad panel that I have seen in some. Is that possible and real expensive?

jcjc109-I don't mind the simrad splash screen but I would love to get rid of the legal disclaimer on startup.

TimUSMC-you have a much newer boat than mine and a great looking dash. I completely rebuilt my dash to look like yours and took out all the gauges and replaced with twin 9" simrads. I also replaced the original electronic interface module with buttons all in an effort to look more like yours.

That being said, if you have a junction box under the dash should be a fairly simple install other than modifying your dash for a touchscreen. I don't think you can fit a 9" but a 7" might fit.

couldn't attach all to one post, haven't spent much time on this forum so I'm sure there is a way to do it.

That looks fantastic! I don’t have the tech ability to do it and redesign the dash to fit so I would most likely have to go to a dealer to do the install. I’m sure that would be costly.

Dealer price will be ridiculous and probably not worth it. I would suggest finding a good custom stereo shop to modify dash for the touchscreen of your choice. Then as far a wiring and installation this and other forums could help you wrap it up. Your boat appears to have DTS which means it should have a junction box under the dash and a nmea 2000 backbone which will make installation actually very easy. You probably really only need a new blank glass panel, probably wouldn't have the white line around it. If you every decide to go for it reach out to me and we will figure out what you have behind the dash and start planning.
