1999 380DA in Seattle. Looking into ideas to replace OEM TVs, Frig motor rattles too. Anyone change these on your yachts?

I replaced the main cabin TV with a 26" flat screen mounted on a swivel arm bracket. I did the same in the forward state room and just replaced it with a 28" which is a great size for that space.
I simply attached the bracket to the side of the opening where the old CRT TV was.

I put two 19" flat screen TV's in the one in the main stateroom just set where the old on was mounted, the one in the main cabin, I put under the small cabinet on the forward wall and wired it in to the forward state room. I also put a 32" on the arch above the sink.

We replaced 2 of our 3 TVs with flat screens from Best Buy. Pay attention to the mounting bracket on the back of the TV so that you can reuse the bracket if possible. There are two possible bolt patterns so measure/take pics before going shopping. The new flat-screens are so cheap these days and both of ours were able to get a signal from the Glomex antenna on our 450DA.

Regarding the refrigerator..Call Cliff - 206-548-1306. [email protected] He can get you a good price on the fridge and his hourly rate is really reasonable. Those small refrigerators don't last forever and it will probably be cheaper to just replace it than trying to repair but Cliff will be honest in providing a solution.

Good luck!

The Nocold 'fridge sucks lemons through a garden hose.

I replaced mine w/ an Isotherm CR187. It is MUCH better.

I've been going through a LOT of updates on my new-to-me 01 380DA. Removing both 13" TV/VCR dinosaurs, installing 24" in forward berth, 32" on port wall of mid-cabin with an extending/articulating mount, and a 28" on the inside of the port side arch, also on an articulating mount. No pics yet, but I can update.

Other electronics upgrades are briefly documented here:

Also did a full set of LumiTec white/red/blue/purple cockpit and arch lights

Finally, a pair of LumiTec Seablaze X underwater transom lights

I replaced all 3 dinosaurs in my 2000 380AC. A 21" HDTV with built-n DVD for the kids in the bow cabin, a 21" for us in the stern Master and a 37" on a furniture lift device where the 24" tube used to be in the "bar." I closed off the very front of the old "bar" and made a real bar where that TV used to be.

Postman,

The custom wine bar looks great! What is the Samsung component below the bar?

Thanks,

Ron B.
