1992 270 Weekender hot water tank leaks at the heating element and the rubber o-ring it sits in. Trying to determine if I can buy a replacement assembly or something else to replace it . Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The heating element may be replaced. It should come w/ a fresh seal.

All the home improvement stores sell heating elements. Just match the size and power.

I replaced the heating element on my 280. That fixed the leak.

Installed new one and everything is up and running. Pretty easy to do for most people with limited mechanical experience.

Good to know. Happy hot water and no more leaks.
