I have a 1986 Sea Ray Weekender...

I have a 1986 Sea Ray Weekender 300 and it has a has a flood/spot light on the bow rail. It has a pan/tilt control and a rheostat (disabled) to control the speed of the pan/tilt. The other day the 'light' would not come on, the switch is 'off-up for spot-down for flood, the pan/tilt toggle works but no light. I checked the two elements in the bulb and the look ok. I'm not quite sure where the fuse is for the light on the fuse panel but assuming the pan/tilt works why wouldn't the light? I checked all the fuses and they look ok. Any suggestions............ George

Use a multimeter to trace the lamp power path so the interruption may be located. Also measure the bulb filament resistance.
