Had a muffler explode on 1985 300 Weekender after hard starting a few years ago. Now a friend had same issue on 93 310 Sundancer. Is this common and what can be done to prevent?
I'm a bit late on this, but your carburetor is leaking fuel into the engine when it isn't running. When t he engine starts up the next time, the fuel from the leak is exploding. Probably time to rebuild the carburetor.
